  • What is the difference between the three Daily Antioxidant Moisturizers?
The Antioxidant Moisturizer: Very Dry Skin is much heavier than the other two versions because it has more oil and butter. The Shea Butter in it helps to create a thick barrier on the skin that prevents loss of water, maintaining high levels of moisture for extremely dry skin. It is also a better option for the most sensitive of skins because of the addition of Olive Leaf Extract which helps reduce redness, it also provides extra hydration. The Antioxidant Moisturizer: Normal-Dry Skin is much less heavy than the Very Dry skin option but heavier than our Normal-Oily skin option. This version is designed to provide enough moisture to ward off slightly dry, flaky skin. Again, this is also a better option for the most sensitive of skin because of the addition of Olive Leaf Extract. The Antioxidant Moisturizer: Normal-Oily Skin is much lighter than both other options because it has much less oil in the formula. This version is designed to keep skin hydrated, reduce the look of pores, and balance the skin's oil production. This is the lightest version but it still contains oil, so it is not recommended for those with very oily skin. This is also the best version to fight the visible signs of acne.
  • What is the difference between the two Gentle Exfoliating Cleansers?
The Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser: Dry & Normal Skin is designed to provide a lighter cleanse that will not dry out the skin. It also Papaya Extract and has more Glycerin, which will provide extra hydration throughout the cleansing process. It is a gentler option due to the inclusion of Chamomile Extract and due to the fact that it does not go as deep into the pores. The Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser: Oily, Normal, & Acne-Prone Skin is designed to provide a deep cleanse and go into the pores in a way that reduces a larger amount of oil. It has more surfactants that our other version, which help provide a stronger cleanse and White Willow Bark Extract which exfoliates deep into the pores to and also reduces the look of pores. This cleanser is a better option to reduce the signs of acne due to the White Willow Bark Extract & Pineapple Extract.
  • Can I use the Gentle Exfoliating Cleansers if I am using Retinol?
You could, but it is not generally recommended because the exfoliating cleansers contain AHAs and Enzymes which are designed to remove the top layer of dead skin on your face. Retinoids on the other hand are designed get deep into the pores and reduce oil production, leading to dryness and flakiness for some. It also accelerates the turnover of skin cells. Retinols are harsh and increase skin sensitivity, so it is recommended to not use exfoliating products, such as those with AHAs the same days you use retinols, as this may cause peeling and dryness. Therefore, we recommend that you use our Gentle Exfoliating Cleansers on days you do not use retinols. Alternatively, you could use the Gentle Exfoliating Cleansers on the same day as products with retinol if you do not leave them on for any longer than 30 seconds, so you can get the cleansing effect but only minimal exfoliating effects.
